Abstract:
Big data has been considered as one of the most powerful enablers for uncovering hidden insights. The increasing adoption of big data has changed the way we approach problems, develop applications and make decisions. The utilization of big data has also become prevalent in the transport industry. This workshop aims to provide students with an introduction to data science tools and hands-on experience of using these tools for transportation applications. No prerequisite is required for this workshop.

This workshop is free of charge!
Places are limited & prior registration is required. Priority will be given to MATPP students and ITS Student Fellows. Each participant attending the entire workshop and completing the exercises satisfactorily will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance. For MATPP students, this workshop is not credit-bearing but it will count towards the seminar requirement of GEOG7011.
