Mr. Cliff Sullivan
Mr Cliff Sullivan has been the Senior Vice President of A-Sonic Logistics HK, branch of A-Sonic Logistics Group since 2007. A-Sonic Logistics Group is a listed company on Singapore Stock Exchange specializes in business covering aerospace, freight forwarding, 3PL, ground handling, airline management and training school.
Mr Sullivan joined the freight industry after he obtained his Master of Science in Transport and Development from the University of Salford in 1989. He then worked in a local freight company as a management trainee. He later joined Jardine Logistics as head of sales and later head/ V.P. Air Freight, and Kerry Logistics Group as Group General Manger/Director of Kerry Freight before joining A-Sonic Logistics HK.
Mr Sullivan also participates actively and serves in important posts in the transport and logistics related organizations. He is currently the Chairman of the “Hong Kong Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics”; chartered member of the “Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport”; committee member of the “Hong Kong Logistics Development Council; committee member of the “Employees Retraining Board”; air freight expert of planning committee of the “Vocational Training Council Recognition of Prior Learning Mechanism for Logistics Industry”; executive committee member of the “Hong Kong Shippers’ Council”; and member of the Departmental Advisory Committee (LMS) at the “Hong Kong Polytechnic University”.
Abstract:
The Freight Logistics Industry in particular the air cargo sector has faced many new challenges recently brought about by E-commerce, the more stringent measures on cargo security and cargo safety. This seminar will explain and shed lights on these challenges and how the air cargo industry adapts to these changing environments.
