Mr Alex Fong Secretary of the Hong Kong Port and Maritime Board
Mr Alex Fong has been an Administrative Officer with the Government of the
Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for over 20 years and held varied
postings in a wide range of areas including economics and trade, industry,
investment, transport, security, home affairs. He joined the Hong Kong Port and
Maritime Board as her Secretary in September 1999. In addition to his
responsibilities for port and maritime services development, he has recently been
assigned to set up the Committee on Logistics Service Development to develop
strategies to strengthen Hong Kong’s position as the international transportation
and logistics hub in Asia.
