Global Logistics and Choice of Hubs

Mr Franco M.Eleuteri Corporate Vice President Frederic R. Harris Inc 


Mr. Eleuteri has developed his expertise over 20 years working with major United States, European and South African corporations and has been involved in the fields of management consulting, planning, engineering, project implementation and program management. This has been with a particular focus on advanced facility projects, supply chain management systems and internationally competitive solutions.


In his work, Mr. Eleuteri has acquired firsthand experience of facility solutions, operating techniques and manufacturing methods in the American, European, Middle Eastern, African, Japanese and Asian environments, including the fields of transportation, manufacturing and logistics. This has involved him in addressing the systems, building and organisational needs of a particular project.


Mr. Eleuteri has considerable experience in integrated systems development, including multimodal transportation systems, and logistic systems for such corporations as Union Pacific, Federal Express, DHL, TNT, Japan Airlines, Northwest Cargo, Malaysia Airlines Cargo and others.


As part of his work, Mr. Eleuteri has performed major research assignments in new methods and techniques aimed at internationally competitive solutions. He has been involved in multi-country evaluations for the optimum systems solution and location of air/land/sea transportation hubs.


These projects included the equipment and building systems for "state-of-the-art" integrated facilities. They included such concepts as the focused factory, flexible manufacturing, just-in-time material systems, postponed manufacturing and manufacture-to-order techniques.


His work incorporates the integration of functional, organisational, behavioural and facility elements of a project to achieve the most productive solution.


In performing this work, he toured major facilities and manufacturing plants and transportation hubs world-wide and provided consulting help to major international clients in North America, Europe, Japan, Korea, Africa and Russia with a focus on internationally competitive solutions.


This is in addition to being a guest speaker and lecturer for numerous public entities and institutions.
